Gynger Davenport

Gynger Davenport is a awesome member of the Phat Tats artist family. She a ray of sunshine making sure her clients love their tattoo experience. When she was 10 years old, she was heavily influenced by others which drove her to create art based on emotion. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately for her art, her upbringing was extremely hard, which reflected in her artistic style.

Although difficult, those extreme experiences helped to form a very diverse and dynamic collection of skills. While still in her teens, she new by the time she was 17 that tattooing was going to be a huge part of her future. She is a perfectionist and took years to study and research and practice her art through various mediums before she ever endeavored to touch skin. Her biggest critic is herself, thus she knew she had to really push herself to do her very best.

Her inspirations are artist like Luke Ashley & Jack Rudy, with Hailey McCann being one of her favorites as she is not only amazing but her story is inspiring.

I did as you are supposed to do, I found someone exceptional to take me on as their apprentice and once I was ready, I jumped in and am now taking the tattoo industry head on, one tattoo style at a time. I’ve even created my own brand which is davenport.ink. Bigman is a legend, and I’m absolutely grateful to be given the opportunity to work here at Phat Tats with artist that are absolutely amazing. One thing I look forward to is learning from the artist around me. While I can do just about anything, some of my favorite styles are black & grey illustrative, traditional especially, and the ladies love my fine line work with its beauty and elegance. Today I continue to grow as an artist by pushing my skills and constantly observing those around me, also by staying true to the passion that brought me here. I’m proud of far I’ve come and even more excited for the art to come ahead.
